EASY, HEALTHY BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE

I really love mornings. I love the way the mornings feel; the soft light coming through my windows, the way the day starts to pick up as more people bustle off to their jobs. I just love everything about the fact that its a new day and anything is possible. 

I like to start my mornings off with a coffee, a big glass of water and a smoothie that's packed with all the of the nutrients I need to keep me going throughout the day.

Here is my favourite breakfast smoothie recipe that I've been drinking almost every morning for the past 6 months. 

1 Scoop Vanilla Vega Protein Powder: Packed with good stuff. Has a ton of protein, fruits, vegetables, probiotics, vitamins, and minerals. And it's Vegan :)

1 Tablespoon of Ground Flaxseed: make sure its ground or your body can't digest it properly! 

1 Scoop of Hum Nutrition Raw Beauty Powder: This is also packed with nutrients, so if your protein powder doesn't have a lot of nutrients this is a great addition to the smoothie! 

1 packet of Unflavoured Collagen Powder: This step is optional, I only do this sometimes. I like the vital protein unflavoured powder. It really doesn't taste like anything. 

1 Handful of Blueberries: I like blueberries, they're heavy in antioxidants, a real super food and they are so flavourful they mask the taste of the protein. But, feel free to add anything you want! I do recommend some sort of berry just because they are packed with the most flavour. 

1 Pinch of Cinnamon: Cinnamon is low key amazing for you. It's an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, helps your brain and your heart and it adds a really good flavour to the smoothie. It also is a great ingredient to mask flavours that you may not like (protein).

1 Tablespoon of Almond Butter: This is an extra source of protein, it also has healthy fats and fibers and a nice taste! 

1 Teaspoon of Honey: Again, tasty but has a ton of benefits for your body. 

1 Cup of Almond Milk: I also like to add a bit of water to mine. I like my smoothies really watery, thick smoothie kind of gross me out. 

I drink that every morning and it keeps me very full for a long time. I can also feel good knowing that I packed my body with its daily needs to fruits, veggies, and nutrients.
